Appraisal & Authentication
About our Appraisal service: our director is a member of the prestigious Appraisers Association of America, headquartered New York city. We offer “opinions of value” and formal “written appraisals”, available to private collectors, investors, museums and institutions. We adhere to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal practice.
We work strictly on a fee basis with competitive hourly rates, plus any required travel/lodging expenses. Our appraisals are accepted by a majority of Insurance undewriters.
About our Authentication service: We specialize in Bannerstones, Birdstones, Pipes, Gorgets, Discoidals, Axes and midwestern flint projectiles. Items; “authentic without question” receive a serially numbered “Certificate of Authenticity”, signed and embossed over to prevent facsimile.
Modern or modernly altered artifacts, receive a written report detailing our opinions. Turnaround time is three (3) days after receipt. Limit of five (5) items per shipment. Effective 3/1/05, charges per examination on BIRDSTONES, BANNERSTONES, PIPES AND GORGETS is $50 US each item, plus return postage and insurance. All other items are $25 US each plus return postage and insurance.
